A few years back, Augie decided to throw Woodstock a birthday party. It was elaborate – complete with invitations and decorations of all kinds. I felt bad that we were never really able to “celebrate” because things were super busy and both he and his sister were super sick that same month, but that’s motherhood sometimes I guess.

This year, he decided again that it was Woodstock’s birthday, but it was a little simpler. Instead of parties and decorations, he just made him a special breakfast of pancakes and orange juice.

Simplicity at it’s best.
